Our Story
Born to Cruise
Cruzin' Lakewood Ranch started with a simple idea: bring neighbors together over a shared love of cars, golf carts, and community. What began as a handful of friends on a Friday night has grown into one of the most beloved recurring events in the Lakewood Ranch area.
How It All Started
It was a warm Friday evening in 2019 when a small group of car enthusiasts decided to meet up on Lakewood Ranch Main Street. No formal organization, no trophies, no entry fees — just people who loved their vehicles and wanted to share that passion with their neighbors.
Word spread quickly. The next Friday, twice as many people showed up. Then twice as many again. Within a few months, what started as an informal meetup had become a genuine community institution — drawing hundreds of vehicles and thousands of spectators every event.
Today, Cruzin' Lakewood Ranch runs every first and third Friday of the month, with special shows and themed events throughout the year. We've never lost sight of what made those first nights special: good people, great machines, and the open road.
What We're About
Community First
We're not a club with dues or a show with gatekeepers. We're neighbors who love cars. Everyone is welcome — spectators, owners, families, and first-timers alike.
All Vehicles Welcome
Classic cars, muscle cars, trucks, motorcycles, custom golf carts — if you're proud of it, bring it. There's no judging panel at cruise nights, just genuine appreciation.
Free Forever
Cruise nights will always be free to attend and free to show. We believe the best community events don't have a price tag.
Family Friendly
We run clean, safe events that families can enjoy together. Kids grow up loving cars at Cruzin' — and that's exactly how we like it.
The People Behind the Cruise
Cruzin' Lakewood Ranch is run entirely by volunteers who live in the community and love what they do.
Mike Delgado
Founder & Lead Organizer
Mike has been wrenching on cars since he was twelve years old. After moving to Lakewood Ranch in 2018, he wanted to create the kind of Friday night cruise he grew up with — and never looked back.
Sandra Kowalski
Events & Community Coordinator
Sandra handles the logistics that keep every event running smoothly — from vendor coordination to social media to making sure every newcomer feels welcome from the moment they arrive.
Come Be Part of It
